I’m always surprised if not a little bit dismayed what black people go up for non black people especially when the non black person is appropriating Black Culture. it’s like y’all just want to give the shit away it’s yours you don’t have to defer to these people or try to make nice with these people for something that is inseparable from your culture something that is your culture like it’s yours. it’s not theirs it’s okay to say no I don’t want you to deal with this or no I don’t want you to be involved with this. I feel like Black people always worried about hurting non-black people’s feelings or offending them and this comes from decades and centuries of having that beat into US literally. that you have to share and that you have to give in that if you don’t you’re a bad person or that it will be stolen from you anyway so you might as well give. you know this indoctrination of Black Culture being cannibalized and that being normalized by Black people is just one of the most frustrating things in the world. Note I am strictly talking to black people when I’m writing this so don’t you even think about hopping into this conversation if you are not of the diaspora get the fuck out of here
